We are looking for a skilled Plumbing Technician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing and utility systems at a secure government facility. Your work will ensure the effective operation of potable water, drainage, and compressed air systems.
You will be responsible for:
● Installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing plumbing systems and associated mechanical components throughout the facility.
● Troubleshooting and repairing compressed air systems, including compressors, dryers, and distribution piping.
● Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on potable water and drainage systems.
● Reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and piping diagrams.
● Responding promptly to work orders and emergency service calls.
● Documenting maintenance activities, parts usage, and service reports.
● Complying with all safety standards and regulations in controlled-access environments.
● Maintaining an inventory of plumbing and compressed air parts and tools.
We are looking for candidates who have:
● At least 3 years of experience in industrial plumbing and compressed air utilities.
● Hands-on experience in working safely in industrial environments.
● The ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
● Knowledge of relevant plumbing codes and regulations.
● A valid state-issued driver’s license.
● Applicable trade certifications or licenses such as:
– Journeyman Plumber License or equivalent
– Compressed Air Systems/Operator certification or equivalent technical training
– Certifications in related trades like HVAC or pipefitting are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Technical degree or vocational training in plumbing or mechanical trades
– Previous experience in regulated, secure, or military/DoD facilities
– CMMS experience for work orders and documentation
