As an MEP Inspector, your key duties will include:
● Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and plumbing systems
● Inspect mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection for compliance
● Review contractor shop drawings and submittals
● Identify and document non-conformances
● Conduct labor interviews for wage compliance
● Notify contractors of safety conditions
● Maintain detailed inspection reports and logs
● Oversee corrective actions for construction work
● Witness and document critical tests
● Verify quality of materials and installations
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
● High School Diploma + 8 years of related experience or equivalent
● Familiarity with local codes and construction methods
● (Preferred) BA/BS in Construction, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent certification
● (Preferred) OSHA 10-hour training certification
● (Preferred) Certified Construction Quality Manager for Contractors (CQM-C)
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office
