As a Pipefitter at OPD, your core duties will include:
● Reading drawings and taking measurements to install piping efficiently
● Understanding blueprints
● Securing parts using bolts, clamps, and tack welding
● Differentiating between various metal thicknesses and types
● Positioning and clamping components for welding
● Assembling pipes, tubes, and fittings as per specifications
● Handling rigging equipment safely
● Performing minor welding tasks to meet client requirements
● Operating tools and equipment, including beveling machines and welding machines

To be successful in this role, you should have:
● At least 1.5 years of experience as a pipefitter
● Willingness to travel for extended periods, including remote areas
● Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours and 7 days a week
● Capability to meet all job-related physical demands
● A commitment to participating in mandatory safety meetings

Preferred Qualifications:
● Previous experience in a gas plant construction environment
● 3 years of experience as a pipefitter
● Experience leading safety initiatives
● Familiarity with welding basics
