Perform duties such as maintenance, repair and installation of commercial and domestic plumbing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Shall respond to fire drills and other emergencies as designated to ensure the safety of patients, employees and the continuous operation of the facility.
- Under supervision, will undertake maintenance (including cleaning), repair and installation of all types of commercial and domestic plumbing systems.
- Must troubleshoot all plumbing systems. ( same as lead plumber )
- Make rounds as assigned by the supervisor, or lead plumber and report findings to the supervisor or lead plumber.
- May be required to perform supervised duties on systems relating to heating and air conditioning piping.
- Performs equipment preventive maintenance. ( same as lead plumber )
- May be required to perform all duties of a plumber’s maintenance worker.
- Required to assist in the monthly test on standpipe/sprinkler.
- Maintain medical gas storage area, flow/usage and report to supervisor or lead plumber.
- May be required to perform snow detail.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
-
Three (3) years experience in maintenance, repair and installation of commercial and domestic plumbing systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
-
Basic ability to fully utilize BHMC’s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.

G-95 Open Flame Permit for torches and open flames.
Licenses, Certifications:
- G-71 Medical Gases is required within (6) months of hire.
- G-17 Bulk Oxygen Certificate of Fitness preferred.
Physical Requirements:

Position requires prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day.

Position will be required to stoops, bends, lifts, carry items weighing up to 75 pounds.
