Responsibilities:
● Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems such as pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters
● Conduct inspections and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
● Collaborate with clients and contractors
● Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs
● Cut, thread, and bend pipes; weld, solder, or join pipes
● Test plumbing systems for leaks and troubleshoot problems
● Adhere to plumbing codes and safety standards
● Mentor junior plumbers and keep accurate records
● Coordinate with suppliers and perform other duties as assigned
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
● Report unsafe acts or conditions
● Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
● Comply with company safety programs and participate in safety initiatives
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent (plumbing apprenticeship preferred)
● Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice
● Knowledge of plumbing codes and best practices
● Proficiency in reading blueprints
● Strong problem-solving and communication skills
● Physical stamina and ability to work in various conditions
● Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions:
This role involves physical labor and may require working in confined spaces or at heights. You should be prepared for potential exposure to weather conditions and flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
