Responsibilities:
● Install and connect water supply lines, drainage systems, and black and grey water systems.
● Diagnose and repair plumbing problems such as leaks, clogs, damaged pipes, and faulty fixtures.
● Install and repair fixtures including sinks, taps, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
● Cut, bend, and join pipes using various tools and materials.
● Perform pressure tests to check for leaks in newly installed plumbing systems.
● Identify root causes of plumbing issues and provide effective solutions.
● Carry out basic housekeeping duties.
● Record daily time spent on jobs on timesheet.
Qualifications:
● Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
● At least 5 years plumbing experience.
● Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
● Adhere to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
● Compliance with safety and quality standards and procedures.
● Strong teamwork skills and ability to work closely with others.
● Excellent understanding of verbal and written directions.
● Keen eye for detail and ability to identify defects.
● Familiarity with the production process.
● Proficient in using basic tools applicable to the job.
● Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
● Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
● Availability to work Saturdays and overtime as needed.
