Responsibilities:
● Assist with inspections, repairs, and maintenance of campus plumbing systems
● Operate, maintain, and repair building systems, including water treatment and pneumatic systems
● Maintain logs and input data into the facilities management system
● Complete work orders on schedule and within estimated costs
● Provide support for after-hours call-outs and university events
● Perform preventive maintenance work on equipment assets
● Follow all safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment
Qualifications:
● No formal education required
● 6 months of plumbing maintenance experience in an industrial, commercial, or institutional setting
● Valid Texas Driver’s License (or ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment)
● Basic analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
● Computer literate and able to use computerized maintenance systems
● Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
Preferences:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● Certification from a trade school or apprenticeship training program
● Two years of related experience in plumbing or facility maintenance
● Licensing or certification in plumbing
