Responsibilities:
● Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
● Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues.
● Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for plumbing system layouts.
● Collaborate with clients and team members on project requirements.
● Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for projects.
● Carry out installations and repairs of plumbing fixtures.
● Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools.
● Clean up job sites and dispose of waste materials properly.
● Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods.
● Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functioning.
● Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide solutions.
● Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
● Mentor junior plumbers and helpers.
● Keep accurate records of work performed.
● Coordinate with suppliers for plumbing materials and equipment.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent; plumbing apprenticeship preferred.
● Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice.
● In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and best practices.
● Proficient in interpreting blueprints.
● Strong understanding of plumbing systems and tools.
● Excellent problem-solving abilities.
● Effective communication and leadership skills.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
● Physical stamina for lifting heavy objects.
● Valid plumbing license/certification preferred.
● Valid driver’s license.
