Responsibilities:
● Determining installation sequence by studying blueprints and sketches
● Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including water, air, gas, and sewer lines
● Testing plumbing systems for leaks and functionality
● Cutting, threading, brazing, soldering, and pro-press piping for installations and repairs
● Assisting in completing plumbing projects
● Performing routine maintenance on plumbing systems
● Troubleshooting plumbing systems and recommending corrective actions
● Managing inventory of plumbing supplies
● Complying with building codes and safety regulations
● Responding to after-hours emergencies and supporting campus events

Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED equivalent
● 3 years of plumbing experience (5 years preferred)
● Valid Texas Driver’s License and insurable under university vehicle requirements
● Plumbing apprentice card through the State of Texas (Journeyman preferred)
● Strong knowledge of plumbing installation and maintenance practices

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Proficient in reading blueprints
● Skilled in operating plumbing tools and equipment
● Strong communication abilities
● Capacity for physical tasks including lifting 50 pounds
