Responsibilities:
● Work under a Journeyman/Lead to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems on commercial and industrial projects.
● Measure, cut, thread, glue, solder, and braze various types of piping (PVC/CPVC, copper, PEX, cast iron).
● Set and connect fixtures such as lavatories, water closets, floor drains, carriers, and water heaters.
● Assist with rough-in and trim, hang and support pipes, and pressure test systems.
● Read and interpret basic plans, elevations, and isometrics; verify material takeoffs.
● Safely operate hand and power tools (such as threaders, bandsaws, and press tools) while maintaining a clean work area.
● Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE, lockout/tagout procedures, and working in confined spaces.
● Document work using photos and simple checklists; support site logistics and material staging.
● Shadow diagnostics, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with emergency calls as part of the service track.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; must meet insurable MVR per company policy.
● Ability to lift 50-75 lbs; comfortable working at heights/ladders and in various weather conditions.
● Strong willingness to learn, follow directions, and work safely as part of a team.
● Ability to pass standard background and drug screenings.
Nice to have (preferred):
● Completion of trade school or NCCER coursework; OSHA-10/CPR certification.
● Basic experience with hand and power tools.
● Familiarity with construction math, measurement skills, and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16”.
