Responsibilities:
● Prepare accurate estimates for residential and commercial plumbing projects
● Utilize Excel-based estimating software to efficiently prepare bids
● Assist in preparing project-specific proposal documents
● Communicate project scope and budgets effectively to Branch Managers, Coordination Staff, and Estimating Staff
● Analyze existing site conditions and contract documents to determine required scope adjustments
● Develop relationships with local material suppliers and equipment vendors to obtain accurate pricing
● Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper transfer of proposals, plans, change orders, and required documents
● Prepare diagrams or schematics for builder permit packages as needed
● Collaborate with other estimating staff to complete departmental duties
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
● Ability to read and interpret information from blueprints and change orders
● Experience in designing and producing project material takeoffs
● Proficiency in plumbing design is preferred
● Ability to interpret purchase orders accurately
● Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Self-motivated, punctual, and detail-oriented
● Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
● Strong follow-up skills, both internally and externally
● 2+ years of previous plumbing experience is highly desired
