Key Responsibilities
● Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
● Accurately calculate labor, material, and equipment costs for plumbing systems.
● Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids.
● Work closely with project managers and leadership to develop competitive bids and proposals.
● Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and supporting documents.
● Track and analyze completed projects for cost performance and process improvements.
● Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
● Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and company policies in all estimates.
Qualifications & Skills
● 5+ years of plumbing estimating experience (commercial and/or residential).
● Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation practices.
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
● Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
● Strong communication skills for collaborating with vendors, contractors, and internal staff.
● Background in plumbing fieldwork (journeyman, foreman, or similar) preferred.
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
