Responsibilities:
● Oversee and lead plumbing projects, ensuring all work is completed on schedule and to the highest standard of quality.
● Supervise and direct a team of plumbers and apprentices, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
● Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
● Install, maintain, and repair industrial plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, and industrial processing systems.
● Ensure all plumbing work complies with relevant codes and standards.
● Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify and fix problems before they escalate.
● Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate work and ensure smooth operations.
● Implement and uphold safety protocols, conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner.
● Provide regular reports on work progress, issues, and solutions to senior management.
Qualifications:
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plumbing role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
● Experience leading commercial and industrial plumbing projects.
● Strong knowledge of industrial plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
● Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
● Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to train and mentor junior team members.
● Strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively.
● Commitment to safety and quality, with a thorough understanding of relevant codes and standards.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, other trades, and senior management.
● Valid driver’s license.
