Responsibilities:
● Assist the Journeyman Plumber with plumbing installations and repairs
● Prepare the work area by gathering materials, tools, and equipment for installations
● Recognize and locate pipe leaks
● Cut open walls and structures to expose pipes
● Adjust water pressure valves
● Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes
● Install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment
● Assemble and install valves and fittings
● Use various tools for assembling pipe sections, tubing, and fittings
● Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning drains and replacing filters
● Assist in installing fixtures like sinks, faucets, and toilets
● Help troubleshoot and identify plumbing issues
● Perform other duties as assigned by the lead plumber or supervisor
Qualifications:
● 1 year of relevant experience required
● Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
● Willingness to travel, if needed
● Strong organizational skills
● A high school diploma or certification is a plus
Skills:
● Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and changing weather conditions
● Physically fit; ability to lift 50 lbs or more
● Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with co-workers
● Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
● Willingness to learn and grow within the company
