Responsibilities:
● Conduct plumbing inspections under the guidance of senior staff
● Review plumbing plans and engineering designs for compliance with codes
● Prepare draft correction notices and assist in follow-ups
● Provide information to contractors and the public about plumbing codes and processes
● Enter inspection results into department databases
● Participate in pre-construction and final meetings to support project completion
● Assist with limited inspections and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent with four years of experience as a licensed plumbing journeyman
● Knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing codes
● The ability to interpret code language and plumbing plans
● Strong communication skills and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications:
● Associate’s degree in engineering or a related field
● Five years of journey-level experience with governmental plumbing inspections
● Relevant plumbing inspection certifications
