Responsibilities:
● Perform field inspections during various stages of construction
● Read and examine plans and specifications when required
● Report violations and maintain files/records
● Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:
● Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology
● Ability to interpret codes in the field and provide code-compliant solutions
● Strong interpersonal skills to positively interact with staff, the public, contractors, and governmental entities
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Good time management, organization, and attention to detail
● Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment

Education & Experience:
● Experience in trades, construction, building, or a related field required
● State of WI (UDC) or ICC Commercial Plumbing Inspector certification required
● Additional State of WI certification(s) preferred
● Experience in municipal code inspections preferred
● High school diploma or equivalent
● Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
