Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a motivated Sr. Plumber Steamfitter/MM to join our Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). As a Sr. Plumber Steamfitter, you will:
● Work independently in a designated zone or as the sole Plumber Steamfitter on campus
● Estimate work tasks and procure necessary materials
● Guide and instruct other plumbing trainees
● Perform a variety of plumbing, steam fitting, and mechanical duties based on work orders
● May be assigned general duties in other trade areas

To be considered for this position, you should have:
● High school/vocational school education or equivalent plus four years of plumbing and steamfitting experience
● Successful completion of an approved training or apprenticeship program can substitute for some experience
● A valid driver’s license with two years of driving experience
● Strong competency in complex plumbing and steamfitting tasks
● Good communication skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
● Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints

Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience with welding and brazing may be required
● May need to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License
