Join our team of Life Changers at UPMC! We are looking for a Full-Time Working Foreperson (Plumbing) to support our Harrisburg hospital. If you are passionate about plumbing and want to work in a caring and friendly environment, this opportunity is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:
● Participate in departmental management functions, including administering job evaluations and recommending discipline when necessary.
● Ensure timely completion of reports and documentation of incidents and regulatory records.
● Compile estimates for job and project costs and contribute to budget processes.
● Monitor operations to quantify operational costs effectively.
● Analyze data to optimize efficiency while maintaining facility operations.
● Maintain a parts inventory and order materials using standardized procedures for efficient operation.
● Provide direction to craftsmen during routine and non-routine operations, ensuring safety and work standards.
● Maintain a schedule for manpower based on the facility’s needs.
● Conduct field inspections on building systems to meet facility requirements.
● Stay knowledgeable of relevant codes and regulations.
● Schedule training for subordinates in job skills and safety procedures.
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
● Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a recognized technical training course.
● Experience: 3 to 5 years working at a journeyman level or higher in plumbing, preferably in a healthcare environment.
● Skills: Demonstrative knowledge of operational systems and the ability to analyze data to make effective decisions.
● Licenses/Certifications: Harrisburg City Plumbing license or Master City license (please list on your resume). In addition, a valid Driver’s License and Act 34 clearance are required.
