Aerotek is seeking plumbers (plumber helpers, apprentices, and journeyman) to start with a local sub-contractor next week. Serious inquires only! See details below:
Pay Rate: Based on Experience (plumbing test is given during interview with Aerotek).
**Per Diem $50/day offered to those outside of 55 miles from job site and are a journeyman level (6+ years).
- New construction and renovation experience in large commercial construction!
-Experience with domestic water & sanitary.
-Installing fixtures, hangers and pipe.
-Minimum 5 years' experience for journeyman level.
- 2-3 years for helper/apprentice level.
-Must have basic hand tools.
-Must have experience working with copper and cast iron-Must be able to solder copper.
-Ability to install, repair pipes, fittings or fixtures of heating, water, or drainage systems according to specifications or plumbing codes.
-Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe to required angle using pipe cutters, hand or power tools, pipe-threading machine or pipe-bending machine.
-Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking or soldering, brazing or welding equipment.
-Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as dishwashers or water heaters, sinks and toilets.
-Direct helpers engaged in pipe cutting, pre-assembly, or installation of plumbing systems or components
-Review blue prints, building codes, or specifications to determine correct work procedure
-Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing.
-Maintain or repair plumbing by replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, or opening clogged drains.
Location: Pensacola, FL (will be placed at one of many commercial project sites).
Duration: 6 months (contract to hire) Long term opportunity
Aerotek: Paid once a week through Aerotek as well as benefits (if eligible). Will also be assigned to a recruiter throughout your contract before being brought on permanent with the company.
PPE: Hard hat, high-lighted vest, steel toed boots, safety glasses, safety gloves.
