Hourly Rate of Pay: ● $20.80 – $26.38 (Commensurate with experience & qualifications) ● Plus incentive opportunities for Master Plumbers (upon hire) and Medical Gas Licenses (after successfully completing 6-month probationary period).
Qualifications: ● Graduate from an accredited Technical School and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in plumbing maintenance with similar facilities required. ● Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: ● MVR: Driving record should meet University underwriting guidelines to drive vehicle in performance of University business. ● Current underwriting guidelines include possession a valid driver’s license, issued in the United States; at least 21 years of age; at least three years of driving experience; maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). ● Currently licensed with a Journeyman Plumber Registration or Masters Plumbers License, issued by the State of Alabama Plumbers and Gas Fitters Examining Board required. ● A Fire pump and Backflow certification preferred. ● Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 6,000 hours of verifiable on-the-job training for the Plumber certification, or equivalent verifiable experience.
